Updates on Meteosat-8
9 July 2007 - Meteosat-8 experienced, on Tuesday 22 May 2007, an orbit change which was not the result of a commanded manouevre. The hypothesis that Meteosat-8 has suffered a collision with an object crossing the geostationary orbit and/or lost some mass remains the most likely one. Investigation and analysis of the event are on-going.
